Executive Director

Rev. Byron L. Jones, II is a native Houstonian and an ordained minister who has dedicated his life to serving others through faith and community.

Rev. Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and English from Virginia Union University, where he was recognized for his academic excellence by consistently making the Dean’s List and participating in various campus organizations. 

​

He earned his Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, focusing on religion, ethics, and politics. During his time at Harvard, he demonstrated leadership as President of Harambee, the Black Student Union, and co-chaired the Black Religion, Spirituality, and Culture Conference. In this role, he successfully secured significant funding for the conference and established a sustainable financial model for future events.

 

Rev. Jones was also accepted into the Harbus Foundation at Harvard Business School, where he played a key role in identifying and evaluating nonprofit organizations for funding opportunities, distributing thousands of dollars to support local initiatives.

 

A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Rev. Jones now leads Together For Good Ministries, Inc., where he continues the nonprofit’s legacy of community development and uplifts those in need through purposeful programming and strategic partnerships. Contact: bjones@tfgmi.org
